NEW MEMBERS
We’re always keen to meet people who love flying so if you’re interested in joining LADMAC please contact The Secretary. We’ll arrange to meet up with you at our Flying Site, show you around and introduce you to our members. We can discuss your experience/ambitions and get a better idea of what you’d like to fly. If you’re new to the hobby we’d suggest learning to fly one of our Club Trainers with an instructor before you commit to buying and flying your own planes and equipment. You can then weigh up the pros and cons of what’s best for you and often find secondhand items via the Club to reduce your initial spend.

2. Trial Flight Sessions - Anyone who’s interested in learning to fly is entitled to 3 days FREE flying prior to joining
LADMAC, this is by prior arrangement. This means you’ll be insured by the BMFA to fly at LADMAC and provides
temporary insurance for a supervised novice, buddy box trainees do not require CAA registration. It gives
experienced pilots an opportunity to try out our Flying Site with their own models before committing to join
3. Initial Membership – We send you a Joining Pack
- Full name, address, phone number. Are you over 18? Any special needs?
- Please outline your interests and any experience ... it’s ok if you’re a complete novice
- Do you already own any aircraft or radio equipment you want to fly at LADMAC?
- Are you registered with the British Model Flying Association (BMFA) or the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)?

- Joining Pack includes LADMAC Club Rules and Membership Application Form
- You must also become a Member of the BMFA (insurance) which can be paid via LADMAC
- From Nov 2019 it became Law to register all model aircraft with the CAA Drone Registration Scheme. This is a simple process which we can also help you with
- Calculate total LADMAC/BMFA/CAA Membership Fees as detailed on our Membership Application Form
- Send your completed Membership Application Form together with payment to The Treasurer
- Once processed we confirm your registration and welcome you to the Club
- Please be aware there is a 6 month probationary period for all New Members
